More About this Event:
Please join us at the Capital Plaza in Montpelier at 9:00am to meet your lawmakers and to acquire strategic leadership tools to use to advance your practice and to provide better health opportunities for your patients. Start the day with a custom media/advocacy training with Carol Kelly, who will not only provide you with skills in group communication and public speaking, but will also record you and give you personal feedback on your speaking style. VMS will provide specific 2020 legislative campaigns for you to practice with and in the afternoon interested members can try out their new skills through testifying on important health care topics in the afternoon.
Lunch will feature an interactive Town Hall discussion between clinicians and Senate President Pro Tem Tim Ashe and House Speaker Mitzi Johnson (invited) focused on the question:"What policy changes drive the best health outcomes in Vermont?" This discussion is meant to be an interactive conversation with no right or wrong answer. We encourage all of our members to participate in this provocative Town Hall discussion. Please feel free to come and be part of the change you want to see in in health care in Vermont, have meaningful conversations with your legislators, and learn valuable leadership skills.
