The Vermont Psychiatric Association (VPA) is a District Branch of the American Psychiatric Association. It is a membership organization made up of Vermont psychiatrists. There are approximately 120 members; medical students and other interested parties are also on our mailing list. The VPA Executive Committee currently meets the third Friday of every month, except when this falls on a holiday or over the summer. The executive committee meetings are open to anyone who is interested. Please click here for our meeting schedule. The executive committee is made up of the VPA officers as well as the chairs of other committees. Click here for our list of current executive committee members The VPA also has two annual membership meetings: a fall annual meeting, held jointly with the Vermont Medical Society, and an April business meeting when elections take place. The VPA also wants to meet you!! The Association tries to schedule regional dinner meetings to meet both members and prospective members. All interested psychiatrists are welcome to join. Please click here for our schedule of events. For more information about any of these events, to join the VPA or to join a committee, contact Steve Larose at the Vermont Medical Society: slarose@vtmd.org or 1 (800) 640-8767.
