Dr. Ramsay was nominated for the Physician of the Year Award by the husband of one of his patients. “Dr. Ramsay is able to provide his patients with hope and compassion when struggling with a serious disease. He is truly one of the most competent and caring doctors I have ever met,” said the husband.

Dr. Ramsay is the associate chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and is director of the Family Medicine Inpatient Service at Fletcher Allen Health Care. In addition, he is the medical director of the Green Mountain Nursing Home in Colchester.

He received his medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga., and did both his residency and internship in internal medicine at Emory University. Dr. Ramsay is board certified in internal medicine and holds a certificate of added qualifications in geriatrics.
